 Madelyn Chartock

WCU Hillel President

Madelyn (Maddy) is a current junior (class of 2023) studying Middle Grades Prep Education with concentrations in history & mathematics. 

Hillel has been apart of Maddy's college experience for the past three years— and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Throughout her time in Hillel she has met some of her best friends, roommates, and people she'll never forget. She's so grateful for her time in Hillel.

Besides being the president of Hillel, Maddy currently serves as the philanthropy chair for Phi Sigma Sigma. Her job consists of planning events and fundraisers for the local charity— the Brandywine SCPA. Before getting to college she served as the president for her youth group at her synagogue, as well as serving as the social action Vice President on a regional youth group level.

Jacob Goldsborough

Jacob is a current junior (class of 2023) studying Economics. Before this, he served as the Jewish Life Committee Chair.

Jacob loves Hillel because it gives him an opportunity to connect with Judaism on campus and the many friends he has made. He is thankful for the opportunity meet and work with many West Chester University students who want to connect with their Jewish heritage.

Lauren Katz

Lauren is a current sophomore (class of 2023) studying marketing and finance. This will be her first semester on the WCU Hillel board.
Lauren loves WCU Hillel because it has allowed her to reconnect with Judaism in a way that she has been unable to for many years. It is a judgement-free zone where everyone is valued, respected, and included.

Dana Kawalek

Dana is a current first year (class of 2025) and is studying Elementary/Special Education. 

Dana loves WCU Hillel because she's able to connect with other Jewish students on campus and celebrate the holidays together. She has enjoyed going to the different events and getting to spend time with all the friends she has made in Hillel. Hillel is such a welcoming community with such amazing people who feel like your on-campus family.

Becca Porter

Becca is a current junior (class of 2023) studying Early Grades Preparation for Education. Before this, she served two semesters as the WCU Hillel treasurer, as well as VP of Operations.

Becca loves WCU Hillel because it really provided her with a way to stay connected to Judaism in college. It’s provided her with so many opportunities such as going on a birthright trip to Israel. She met some of her best friends through Hillel and Birthright.
