Birthright/ Israel Trips
Through Birthright Israel and GoWithHillel, WCU Hillel is fortunate to be able to provide the once in a lifetime opportunity for students to spend 10 days in Israel. This is a FREE trip, as long as at least one parent of the student is Jewish. Participants include Jewish young adults between 18 and 32, who have not been on an organized program to Israel for longer than 4 months. Students have the choice to go on Birthright in the Winter (months of December to January) or Summer (months of May to August). This trip provides an experience of a lifetime as students explore the Jewish homeland and all it has to offer. Students bond with their group of approximately forty students and by going with WCU Hillel, these students can come back to campus with a new group of close friends and friendships that will last a lifetime. Students explore all regions of Israel, from the North to the South, and continue their learning on the trip as well. Students are accompanied by an Israeli tour guide, as well as a Jewish leader from their Hillel or nearby area, and an Israel fellow. Additionally, half way through the trip, students meet a group of Israeli soldiers (their age) who spend part of the trip with them. While students can go on Birthright after college or with another group, we encourage students to go with WCU Hillel at a time that is meaningful for them during their college experience.
We can't wait for our Summer, 2021 trip! More info coming soon!
